Bunnies and Unicorns on the Cloudy Fields of Play

Stroking your cheek, gazing into your eyes,
Leaning forward, touching my lips to yours,
Noting the tenderness, warmth, and love
In that moment before your eyelids flutter shut.
My heart warms at the sight.

Can't wait until you're here.

My arms wrapped around you in moonlight,
Lights like stars laid out before us,
The wind rustles your hair,
Carrying your perfume to tickle my nostrils,
And send a shiver down my spine.

Can't wait until you're here.

The candles burn low, as I lie next to you,
Your body kindling the fires that warm
Keeping the winters of the heart and hearth at bay,
I graze my fingers down your arm,
Gaze at your face and smile.

Can't wait until youre here.
